Roles and Responsibilities
Product Delivery Management Role:
All our software components use Informatica ETL, Oracle DDL, BO Universes and Report definitions, among others. As iDW is implemented in each country, the software versions will multiply. An astute management of various versions of codes including customizations and multiple copies for production, test and archival is involved.
This person will evolve and supervise implementation of effective design, test and implement a software configuration management facility comprising of a standard product/technology based solution.
This job will involve-
* Classifying the code versions, Tagging mechanism for each version and Maintain archives of older versions
* Document and publish releases to each country’s implementation and the number releases
* Evolve test and publish collaborative development procedures such as check-ins and checkouts, etc.
Service Delivery and Rollout Planning Roles:
The Project team/s in India comprise of core and country specific development. The implementation roadmaps for each country will typically comprise of many releases with added functionality and historic, legacy data migration phases. The actual execution of production jobs will typically be carried out by a country’s IT team (there could be exceptions where the Virtual Global team may be requested to execute production jobs.)
You are expected to participate in the Gap and Feasibility analysis to be conducted by Enterprise Architects, to understand the scope and commitments involved in each country roadmap. You will then engage and lead the initial planning and exercises with local country teams to lay down multiple threads of actions, determining their dependencies and joint milestones.
Some detailed activities will include-
* Early bird operational readiness assessments, in conjunction with the project manager and the country’s local IT manager; on infrastructure, team skills, training for iDW job execution, planning of capacity and job execution time windows
* Prepare and conduct development to execution team (run) hand offs, technical deep dive documents and meetings; including job failure/stop-restart options and consequences
* Maintain a help desk and conference line bridges during execution windows for trouble shooting and problem resolution
* Manage a technical support desk during the warranty period of first 30 days after each production release go-live
* Document lessons learned and prepare best practices artifacts for next implementations
* Participate and lead in Change Control reviews, ticket reviews, RCA reviews, build to run reviews
* Participate in scheduled Production Run meetings with Local IT, Business, and third parties to expedite issue resolution
* Create presentation and other process documentation as
* Participate in other activities as requested by Global Data Management Product Managers
